Launched in 2022, Bruin Business 100 is an award-winning program that recognizes exceptional UCLA alumni entrepreneurs. These alumni are founders, owners and visionaries in business who have inspired innovation and expanded the Bruin network.
Honorees are celebrated at an annual reception and have the opportunity to connect with other cohort members and join our Bruin Business directory of more than 1000 businesses.
How to Apply
Applications for Bruin Business 100 open annually in the fall. The application includes information on alumni, the company and the impact on the community. Self- and peer-nominations are accepted.

Eligibility
Businesses must be Bruin-owned or founded to be eligible. Previous Bruin Business 100 honorees may reapply every other year. (Example: 2024 honorees can apply for the 2026 cohort.)

When is the application submission period, and what is the deadline?
The application will be available on October 15, 2024, and will remain open until December 17, 2024.
When are applications reviewed?
Applications are reviewed after the application deadline closes. There is no advantage to applying earlier in the application window.
When are the honorees announced?
Honorees will be announced in mid-April via email.
I was selected the previous year, when can I reapply?
Previous Bruin Business 100 honorees may reapply every other year. (Example: 2024 honorees can apply for the 2026 cohort.)
I was not selected last year, can I reapply?
Yes, those who were not selected are eligible to reapply the following year.
What are the benefits of being a part of Bruin Business 100?
Bruin Business honorees will receive features on the UCLA Alumni social media channels, a spotlight on the UCLA Alumni Association Bruin Business 100 homepage, access to an elite community of over 300 Bruin business owners from previous cohorts, and acknowledgment at an in-person reception where they will receive a certificate and cohort gift.
How do I get added to the Bruin Business Directory?
As a Bruin Business 100 recipient, you are automatically added to the Bruin business directory unless you request to opt-out. Please email Haley Krakoski at hkrakoski@support.ucla.edu if you would like to opt-out.

In 2024, Bruin Business 100 was recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) with a Gold Circle of Excellence award. This achievement honors the resourcefulness and ingenuity that inspires those who work to advance education.
