Hedgehog Dryer Inc

When Bjørn Holte and Erin Eriksson moved to the snowy mountain town of Hemsedal, Norway, they experienced the joyful chaos of raising a young family in the outdoors – and the daily frustration of drying soggy gloves, boots, and gear. Tired of weak, slow dryers that couldn’t keep up with active life, they decided to create something entirely new.

Hedgehog was born from a simple idea: make it easier for families and adventurers to spend more time outside. In collaboration with leading engineers from NTNU’s Hydro Power Laboratory, the team applied turbine technology and flow dynamics to reimagine what a gear dryer could be – fast, safe, powerful, and thoughtfully designed for real life.

At Hedgehog, innovation is rooted in purpose. Every product is engineered to solve the small but persistent frictions that get in the way of joyful, connected time outdoors.

Today, Hedgehog is a small, family-owned company with big ambitions: to support outdoor lifestyles through beautifully designed, high-performance products. With over 100,000 units made and five global design awards – including Red Dot and iF – Hedgehog is proof that meaningful innovation starts at home.

From mountain mornings to muddy adventures, Hedgehog helps people dry less and live more.

Quickserve Cocktails | Thirst Trap

Thirst Trap | QuickServe Cocktails emerged from our response to the challenges posed by the 2020 pandemic. Initially, we adapted by converting craft cocktails into formats suitable for to-go sales, utilizing innovative dispensing methods such as bag-in-box and draft lines. This evolved into creating mini production lines for micro-canning to produce shelf-stable recipes and premium beverages for both on and off premise consumption. We case studied the technologies and business with fellow UCLA colleagues as well as in the innovation Lab the Wharton School of Buisness 2021 MBA Class. To our humbled suprise, we won the in-class competition of over 50+ ideas. Hence, we realized we were onto something. As hospitality venues re-opened, we further enhanced our offerings and started gaining a multitude of diverse clients and enabled them to reduce costs and labor significantly while ensuring consistent quality. Thirst Trap | QuickServe Cocktails officially launched Q4 2023, and we have been honored to be experiencing rapid growth.

Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health

Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health is the leading health-tech venture capital fund in the U.S. Based in Pasadena, CA with a second office in NYC, the firm invests in early-stage companies that are solving major problems confronting the healthcare industry. The fund’s portfolio consists of more than 60 startups. It is currently investing out of its third fund (Fund I was a 2018 vintage, 32 companies; Fund II was a 2020 vintage, 35 companies). Jay Goss (class of 1991) founded the venture fund in 2017 after being involved with more than 30 different early-stage companies over 25 years, during which he learned a lot about the startup world. The hallmark of the fund is that it attracts capital from healthcare organizations and healthcare professionals. This gives the fund a muscle very few venture funds have when it comes to discovering young companies, evaluating them for investment, and then (most importantly) providing commercial support post-investment. And Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health isn’t afraid to flex this muscle!
