UCLA Alumni Affairs proudly recognizes exceptional Bruins who are serving in civic positions and making a difference in people’s lives. These alumni visionaries, volunteers and leaders engage with community organizations, find solutions to today’s civic issues and improve the quality of life in our communities.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this honor, nominees must meet the following criteria:

• Be a UCLA degree holder or UCLA certificate holder.
• Not currently serving as an elected official.

 Additional Eligibility Details

• The program is open to UCLA alumni who serve in organizations and offices that enhance community quality of life through both political and non-political processes.
• Past elected officials who are now in non-elected positions are eligible.
• Open to current or recently retired or laid off civic employees
• Open to volunteers for civic organizations or causes
• 2025 BECE honorees are not eligible to reapply at this time.
• Both peer and self-nominations are accepted.
