Well, what about a 7-time NCAA Championship-winning coach? Miss Val has a history of winning, but it took hard work, resilience and purpose. This three-part series is a special program from UCLA Alumni Affairs to help inspire Bruins looking for motivation in their personal and professional journeys.

Whether you’re at the start of your career or looking to try something new, Miss Val has tips and strategies on preparing for and embracing new opportunities.
In this session, Miss Val shares action steps for success in launching a new endeavor.

THE STRETCH — Adaptability & Flexibility in Leadership
Leadership can be found in those who give and receive feedback well, and oftentimes there is discomfort in that process.
In this session, Miss Val shares her strategies for guiding those who are asked to lead others and those who struggle with receiving feedback.

THE DANCE — Redefining Your Personal Best
Miss Val left gymnastics at the top of her game, but that opportunity brought about new experiences and problems to solve.
In this session, she shares her strategies and tips with Bruins who want to redefine or reiterate their goals and purpose.
