Las Doñas (The Givers) has been serving UCLA for more than 50 years. Las Doñas was founded in 1968 in response to the Alumni Association’s need for a “friend-raising” service organization composed of UCLA alumnae. Las Doñas purpose is threefold:
- to expand the circle of friends of the University
- to create interest among the large groups of non-active alumni for the support of UCLA programs
- to serve as a public relations team of knowledgeable alumnae who interpret UCLA to the community
