Coffee Socials are events that bring UCLA to neighborhoods around the world. Providing an opportunity for attendees to engage with one another on a regional level, Coffee Socials foster connections and relationships within the greater Bruin community.
Coffee Socials are hosted on a year-round basis through a variety of activities and locations. We hope you will consider hosting or participating in an event near you!
*Venue selection at host's discretion. Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own food and beverage at public venues.
Participant Information
Participants:All UCLA parents and family members* are invited to attend Coffee Socials in their local area. Upcoming Coffee Socials will be included in the calendar below, and current Bruin parents and family members with an event happening near them will also be invited to attend via email.
*Select Coffee Social events will also be open to UCLA alumni at the host's discretion.
Host Information
Hosts: For the 2023-24 academic year, hosting opportunities for Coffee Socials are open to all parents and family members of current undergraduate UCLA students. Please take note of the following information before signing up to host a Coffee Social:
Interested hosts should determine a date, time and location for their Coffee Social before completing the host sign-up form.
The host sign-up form must be submitted at least four weeks before the event takes place.
The Parent & Family Association team will assist with event prep such as participation invitations and providing host materials/resources. Hosts are the day-of contact and responsible for running their event.
There are some periods throughout the year when Coffee Socials will be unable to be held due to other University programming and/or Parent & Family Association availability. These "blackout" periods include: Sept. 5 - Oct. 1; Oct. 16 - Nov. 5; Dec. 11 - Jan. 31; April 1-19
