The UCLA Alumni Association has adopted these guidelines to ensure customer privacy and protect personal data.
The Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure (CARD) Act and Regulation Z require schools to publicly disclose agreements made with a card issuer for the purpose of marketing a credit card. If you would like a copy of the contract between Bank of America and the UCLA Alumni Association, please contact Lea Howe at email@example.com.
We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (e.g., profile information) or allows us to contact you. Such information may be requested when you register to enter a contest; join the Alumni Association; update your membership profile, passwords and official alumni records; register for a service; or access functionality that is specifically programmed for degreeholders. Your profile information may be used for the following purposes:
If you choose not to provide profile information, you will still be able to access content. However, you will not be able to access areas or sources that require profile information.
If you decide to provide profile information, you will be able to select the information you wish to receive from the UCLA Alumni Association in the future. You also will be able to select the personal information you want to be made available to Association members or other degreeholders via the UCLA Alumni Directory, the UCLA Career Network, and other UCLA Alumni Association online communities.
We provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may review and update this information at any time in the MyAccount section. There, you can view and edit personal information you have already given us.
alumni.ucla.edu protects the security of your personal information and honors your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. Personal information will be used for UCLA Alumni Association business purposes only.
When you log in, you will be asked for an e-mail address and password to authenticate you for security purposes. Your Association login also allows access to members- or degree-holder-only sections of alumni.ucla.edu.
As mentioned above, every registered customer has a unique personal profile. Each user is assigned a unique member identification or alumni ID number, which helps us ensure that only you can access your profile.
When you become a member, we create your profile, assign a member identification number and send this member identification number to you on your UCLA Alumni Association Membership Card.
Once you have logged in for the first time, you may set up a personal security password in the MySecurity section. This allows you to log in to the Member Login without having to remember your member identification number. The security of this password is completely dependent on you, the user.
You have the right to control whether you receive product or service information from our affinity partners. Read more.
