Scholarships & Giving

We Need Your Support!

Give to Lambda Alumni

We can not provide scholarships each year without the philanthropy of generous and passionate alumni. In addition to funds to support our scholarships for LGBTQ students, we raise funds for our annual operations - including events held for students and alumni, and discretionary support for LGBTQ activities on campus and students in need. To give any amount to our scholarship fund, visit giving.ucla.edu/lambda. If you are interested in supporting Lambda operations, please contact lambda@alumni.ucla.edu.

If you have any questions about making your gift, or would like to give to support our organization in any way, please contact lambda@alumni.ucla.edu.

The UCLA Lambda Alumni Association depends on the generosity of our alumni community for the funds to operate and continue to award scholarships to LGBTQ students each year.

Scholarships

Support for Continuing Students Leading and Serving the LGBTQ+ Community at UCLA

In order to acknowledge students who use their time and resources to serve as community leaders, we plan to support them through scholarship awards.

We will provide up to $1,500 scholarships to current students who have demonstrated great leadership or community service in the LGBTQ+ community. We are looking to present these awards to current students who have demonstrated promise, potential, or past performance as a leader serving the LGBTQ+ Bruin community. Other factors such as need, economic responsibilities, familial obligations, or other extenuating circumstances will also be evaluated in deciding award recipients. LGBTQ+ BIPOC and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply. This is not a merit-based scholarship.

UCLA Lambda Alumni LGBTQ Leadership Awards

Lambda has historically awarded one or two awards to continuing or graduating LGBTQ or ally undergraduate students each year. Announced at Lavender Graduation (a commencement event for LGBTQ students) in June, the award recognizes students' contributions to the LGBTQ community on campus, and hopes to inspire continued service and activism.
