Board of Directors Application

The UCLA Undocumented Alumni Association (UAA) is currently accepting applications for those interested in joining our Board of Directors for the 2021-2023 term. Together, the UAA Board of Directors will work together to uphold the network's mission. Board members also work together to execute events, programs, and activities for the community.

Incoming UAA Board of Directors will serve a two-year term that will begin on Sept. 7, 2021 and end on Sept. 7, 2023. All nominees must submit their applications by Friday, Aug 20, 2021 at 11:59PM.

The following criteria is necessary to be given consideration for a Board of Director:

Only UCLA Alumni can serve on the Board of Directors.
  • UCLA Alumni are defined as individuals who graduated from UCLA and/or obtained a certificate from UCLA extension.
  • UCLA Staff and Faculty who graduated from UCLA or UCLA Extension are also considered UCLA Alumni.
One must fully complete an application form and submit a resume to be considered for a position.
  • Candidates will be asked ahead of time to select an interview time from provided list of dates and times in the event they are selected to move forward in the process
  • All candidates will be notified if they will be moved forward to the interview round or not
  • You must interview to be fully considered

After completing your application, please email your resume to undocumented@alumni.ucla.edu using the same email address you used for your application.

  • August 1: Board of Directors application opens
  • August 11: Information Session for open positions via Zoom
  • August 20: Deadline to submit application
  • August 23 - 29: Application review period by UAA selection committee
  • August 29: Interview invitations sent out to candidates.
  • August 30 - September 3: Interviews take place
  • September 4 - 6: Board selection
  • September 7: Notification of new officers
  • September 8: New board officially announced
  • Late September: New board orientation (mandatory)
